I've worked as a dramaturg with the Playwrights' Center, Children's Theatre Co., The Tank NYC, and several companies throughout the Twin Cities including Lyric Arts, Full Circle Theatre, Six Points, Melancholics Anonymous, among others

PHILOSOPHY
I see dramaturgy as the art of the outside eye, advocating on behalf of the story being performed and the audiences taking it in to ensure the artists intention is clear and accesible.
NEW WORK
One of my great joys of life is helping playwrights to develop and hone their stories. I love digging into the machinery of a script to ensure moments are narratively supported and stories are structurally sound. Every new work is a cornucopia of opportunity and I see my role as helping to illuminate the patterns and possibilities within the world the playwright has created.
PRODUCTIONS
We all need support. In production dramaturgy roles, I collaborate with artists to explore how production elements work for/against the vision for the story. Through contextual presentations, design conversations, program notes, and lobby displays, I help give audiences new foundations to more fully digest the work onstage.
